Short Dresses Are On Its Way

Hello :) I hope you all had a good Christmas. I wasn't able to post for a few days because I had to visit my Grandmother's place, and you know how busy that can be.

As soon as I got back home, I searched for pictures and saw some celebrities who wore short dresses. They look awfully cute. These short dresses would be a good investment until summer time :)

Here is Reese WItherspoon who wore her short dress with flats and a cardigan.

And here is Kylie Minogue who exudes elegance and poise with her short dresses.

Honestly, I don't wear a lot of short dresses because I prefer short skirts that I match with tops. But these short dresses might really look good on you and it may be worth a try :)

That's it for tonight. You may email me for any concerns. Ta-ta!

Here are some celebs who look cute in plaids.

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Gwen Stefani

Kirsten Dunst

Ashley Olsen

Lindsay Lohan

So what about you? Do you like plaid? Merry Christmas! :)

Stockin' It Up

Just recently, Keira Knightley and Britney Spears were seen wearing black stockings with their short dresses. But actually, before this, other celebs have also been including the black stockings in their wardrobes.

There is not a lot of explaining to do, except that black stockings are best when worn with short dresses, skirts, or even shorts. Shoes can vary... boots, flats, etc. As long as your toes DO NOT show. Also, most stars wear black stockings with black clothings, but this ain't always necessary.

Feast your eyes. Here we go. :)

Keira Knightley

Britney Spears

Jennifer Aniston

Lindsay Lohan

Nicole Richie

Mischa Barton

Kate Moss

Mary-Kate Olsen

Ashlee Simpson

Kate Beckinsale

This last one from Kate is my favorite. I love the layering that she did not just by wearing shorts and stockings, but with her top sleeves as well.

That's it for tonight. Good night! :)

2007 Spring Forecast

The past few months, I have been spending my paychecks (I am a Recruitment Specialist by day) shopping. I have been buying what is "in." Skinny jeans, flats, etc. But since New Year is coming up, I have to include saving a lot of money on my New Year's resolution list. I thought to my self that before December ends, I would have bought clothes that I could wear until the middle of 2007. Because until then, I have to stop myself from spending!

Anyway, I checked out the Spring 2007 collections and forecasts. I hope you can find it useful because it was like a map for me. Hehe.

1.) Skirts are still definitely in; skirts that have different cuts.

From Miu Miu:

We also see the skirt-over-slim-pants thing.

The assymetrical skirt from Michael Kors:

The uneven cut skirt:

2.) Shorts will still be trendy.

From Chloe:

From Stella Mc Cartney:

3.) Asssymetrical necklines will also be in. This is what I love the most!

5.) Leggings and slim pants will still exist.

6.) We no longer see boots in the Spring collections. However, we see a variety of necklines, aside from the assymetrical necklines mentioned on top.

From Stella Mc Cartney:

From Alberta Ferretti:

Whew, at least I still have two more weeks left to look for new clothes that would be trendy for many, many months or even a year. Let me know of your thoughts! :)

Cool Sweater Gears

I haven't posted for a few days, and I have noticed that the days are getting colder and colder. I wouldn't want to imagine how colder it would be in the West.

Stars have already adjusted to this. See how they wear their sweaters and coats at different times of the day.

Carmen Electra in a robe sweater.

Kate Winslet with her coat.

Sienna Miller with her wrap-around.

Mischa Barton.

Eva uses a sweater for a nightout.

Casual Kirsten in a sweater.

Halle Berry.

Sweaters are always in during the Christmas season. Don't forget yours on your Christmas family reunion. Talk to you soon! ;)

How To Look Good In Pieces

The number of pieces that we wear does not affect how we look - that means you can wear only two pieces of clothing, but still look as stylish as you would if you clothe yourself with five pieces. It is just a matter of how you put up the ensemble, and most importantly, how you carry yourself when you're wearing it. You have to carry yourself with confidence, girl.

Let's start with the two-piece ensembles. This means your basic top and bottom.

The most common top that we wear everyday is the basic tee. Nicky Hilton wears this with jeans. But she adds glamour to this two-piece ensemble by wearing chic sunglasses.

Basic Tee + Jeans

When wearing a skirt with a basic top (Ok, let's pretend that Nicky isn't wearing a tank underneath so this would still fit our two pieces category), make sure that you accessorize. Bracelets and all.

However, on less casual events, a two-piece top-and-skirt ensemble would be better off without too much accessories.

Reese Witherspoon. Top + Skirt

Jessica Alba

What other two-piece ensembles never fails to go wrong? Of course, wearing your favorite sweater with jeans and pairing it with boots (I am boot-crazy, by the way) :)

Giselle Bundchen

Gwyneth Paltrow. Who needs accessories when you can strut as confidently as this.

Sienna Miller

If your top shows a lot of skin on the neck and collarbone area, be sure to wear either earrings or necklaces.

Hilary Duff wears hers with hoop earrings.

Now, let's go to the three-piece ensembles.

This is one of Lindsay Lohan's favorite. Wearing her tanks with belts.

Three Pieces: Tank, Belt, Shorts

Here are Michelle Trachtenberg's three pieces.

Tunic + Belt + Leggings

Basic Tee + Scarf + Leggings

Kristin Cavallari also uses a scarf on her ensemble.

Top + Scarf + Jeans

For ensembles of more than tree pieces, take a look at Lindsay Lohan and Cameron Diaz's outfits below.

Pink Sweatshirt + Top + Belt + Shorts

Blazer + Top + Belt + Pants

Ruffles & Motion

Are you tired from the day, but still have to attend a night event? And when you're there, do you plan on just sitting down and not talking much because you just don't feel like it? What do you wear to hide the gloominess you feel? Of course you can use color, but this may not always fit the event that you are attending. Last resort? Wear clothes with ruffles. Or pleats.

Why ruffles and pleats? Because they indicate movement. Wearing a sleek, straight outfit may do nothing to cover up your downcast mood. At least when you're wearing something that has rufffles, curves, or pleats, you may still at least have a touch of movement no matter how glum or stiff you are.

Notice how active Elisha Cuthbert seems, even if she is just standing up.

On a night event, wearing a ruffled top like Kate Bosworth's can make you look chic and less plain.

On nightouts, wearing a top that shows movement such as Paris Hilton's may lessen the fact that you are not in the mood to dance, or even move.

Black ruffles are simply the best. They make you look so elegant. See Katie Holmes' style below.

Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria also use this fabric movement technique.

Remember, if you don't want to budge, then don't wear stiff clothes. Wear clothes that the air can move, and make it do the moving for you.

Ta-ta!

JeansUnity

Alas, we are seeing unity between the skinny and unskinny jeans. Just recently, stars who have been wearing skinny jeans were spotted wearing the unskinny jeans. Both types of jeans are now creating a buzz. They are so united that even Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie has manifested its unity.

A few days ago, the BFFs were photographed together. Paris wore skinny black jeans, while Nicole wore comfy, straight-cut jeans.

Jessica Simpson was also seen wearing loose, torn jeans.

So who thought boots can only be worn with slim jeans?

While her sister, Ashlee wears unskinny jeans with a pair of Converse sneakers.

Classy Eva Longoria wears it with leather shoes.

And Cindy Crawford with flip flops!

Mommies like Cindy have gone back to wearing unskinny jeans.

Here's Jennifer Garner.

And Reese Witherspoon with her daughter, Ava.

Penelope Cruz wore her perfectly straight jeans with a blazer.

Britney Spears wore hers for grocery shopping.

See, even stars like to get comfy. Hoorrayy,we can now use our old jeans!

What Shoes To Wear With Skinny Jeans

Whew! I missed writing on my blog. For those of you who have been regularly reading DLTS , you might have noticed that I didn't post for a few days. I just had to get myself decide on a dilemma. Anyway, that is over and then now, and I am happy that I am back being a fashionista and doing DLTS!

Over the weekend, I realized that with things, we never really know how long they will last. All things apply to this. People, money, a job, and everything else. This even applies to fashion, as trends and style continue to change everyday. And so, we gotta make the most of them while they are still considered useful and fashionable.

With skinny jeans, I just do not know how long they would last. But they are "in" right now, so why not make the most of it and wear them with different footwears. Here are some celeb stylish tips.

1.) Weat it with flats.

Courtney Cox

Cameron Diaz

2.) Wear it with wedges.

Kate Beckinsale

Jessica Simpson

3.) Wear it with stilletos.

Nicole Richie

Mary Kate Olsen

4.) Wear it with sneakers!

Jessica Alba

5.) Wear it with flip flops.

Kate Bosworth

6.) Wear it with boots.

Giselle Bundchen

7.) Good night! I'll soon write about the unskinny jeans. Watch out for it! :)
